It's all about the ride: PlanetCyclist.com

Right now, this web site receives input from several mountain bikers.  One of us actually runs and builds the site.  Most of us live in Vancouver, Washington (right across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon).  I have built other web sites in search of the almighty dollar - but my heart wanted to tell about the healthy hobby and sport of mountain biking. So, here it is!  I like to see people become infected with the passion for mountain biking.  It's a way to shape your body, relieve stress, escape from the cruel world and enjoy the outdoors.

Every one of us has a different story of how and why we got into cycling.  Some of us got into cycling because we had injuries caused by other sports and we needed a new sport to recuperate with.  That's my case.  I had a double shoulder injury and started riding my crappy old Huffy on local park trails.  I was hooked by the freedom, health benefits, speed and beauty of the outdoors.  Other of our friends grew up on bikes and have always been "cyclists".   All of us have regular jobs (some building bikes, working in bike shops, or other non-bike related careers).

We all have one thing in common:  we love our sport and our hobby.  Every one of us is guilty of pushing our sport on our friends to get them to see the light.  It's almost like a mission at times!  But some people try it and don't get infected with the kind of love for the ride that we have.  That's when they find that their hearts aren't in it.

Well, we've all been bitten and it's "all about the ride!"

Anyway, we would love to have you join us on a ride sometime.  As you can see, we have some of the most beautiful terrain on earth to ride upon and low traffic.  Sometime when you are in our neck of the woods - drop an e-mail and we will try to hook up.

We will continue to grow and promote the site with helpful content for all mountain bikers - beginners through expert.  If you are interested in sponsoring the site and getting your company on our site, please see our sponsor page.

It is ALL ABOUT THE RIDE.
